Inspired Event Structures is delighted to announce that we have formalised our commitment to the environment by becoming a Carbon Neutral business.
Following the recent COP26 conference and the renewed focus on everyone’s joint responsibilities towards preserving a sustainable planet, as a business we are very keen to ‘do our bit’ to minimise our impact on the environment and show our clear commitment.
Carbon Offsetting through the Carbon Neutral Small Business movement
We have joined the Carbon Neutral Small Business movement – this is the only subscription of its kind in the UK to provide complete carbon neutrality for eligible businesses or sole traders.
This covers emissions of staff and travel, but also the emissions directly produced by us as a business – from electricity, waste and delivery – giving us Carbon Neutral Business Status.
We travel to venues regularly and this is our way of ensuring we are giving back. So each month our subscription will plant 30 trees, and offset 60 tonnes of CO²e each year – reversing the climate impact of our business.
What Projects are being Funded using the funds we have committed?
Each month our subscription monies go towards the purchase of carbon credits and planting trees based on the number of Tonnes of CO² purchased from our individual and business customers.
Carbon Neutral Britain™ is the only organisation that pledges to spend at least 10% of funds on sustainable carbon offsetting and tree planting projects in Britain, for Britain. With woodland creation projects in Scotland, solar and wind projects in England, they ensure that our impact is felt at home as well as abroad.
