After completing University and a Ski Season in Whistler, my first job after was fortuitously, as it turned out, working for a prestigious and expanding National Marquee company as a Hire Manager.

This essentially meant we project managed each sale from start to finish and ‘got the boots on’ in summer when delivery was key. We delivered high end marquees for A-list Celebrities, Event and Party Planners, large Festivals and prestigious Corporate Events, coupled with small back garden parties.

The variety of Events and the mixture between hard outdoor graft on site, tight organisation behind the scenes in the office, and planning and delivering a tangible product to an excited Client, was a unique environment to be in. After 7 years of high octane and some very long hours as a Senior Hire Manager working on prestigious events such as the Tall Ships Race, The “Seve Ballesteros” Golf Tournament, the London Marathon and Leeds Festival, plus events for the Beckham’s World Cup Party and Jasper Conran’s Birthday Party, I needed a change!

Moving from an operations role I then worked in a sales capacity for a Marquee manufacturer selling marquees and component parts to the marquee Industry, which gave me a bigger perspective of the broader industry.

Along the way I have also worked for a company that supplied covers to Wimbledon plus Frost Covers to Premiership Football clubs and Cricket clubs which lead me to work with Airdomes. With 6 months selling Industrial Storage Units to companies such as Siemens, BAE Systems, Twinings, Dairycrest and Aberdeen University, I then provided the structures for the Tour de France Harrogate Hub. This invaluable experience means that I have been able to open up a wider variety of possibilities to offer clients.

An opportunity arose to start my own business in 2010. I fully believe in the concept of ‘things are meant to be’ and I was lucky enough to bump into an old contact at the Gym who offered work project managing the Marquee fit out at Royal Ascot (2 months on site for 4 days elite racing) and then 6 weeks at the London Olympics followed. After that a site visit for a job in Singapore followed and my first year in business as my own boss was a truly dream start.

Since then we have used all this received knowledge and focused on building the business based on smaller, more personal style events and weddings requiring smaller operations and management teams.

Along the way we have bought structures in from the USA, Germany and South Africa to give our clients a wide range of structures to fit all briefs and budgets.

Today we are still a smallish but growing operation, which we like, as it gives us the flexibility to pivot and give full attention and a friendly warm approach to your biggest day. We bring our years of experience to your wedding, event or festival and our close team of guys work to ensure every event has the same level of quality throughout, delivered in a friendly approachable way.
